Turn your email reading into podcast listening.
Give the emails you want to read a place in your listening queue.
SimpleListen turns forwarded emails and newsletters into narrated episodes. Send from your verified account email to the SimpleListen inbox, and the episode goes into your default podcast feed.
Create your listening feed ↗How it works
- 1
Sign in and open your listening library
Open SimpleListen once to create your default feed. Use the same email address to sign in and to forward messages, so SimpleListen can associate the incoming email with your account.
- 2
Forward a message to your feed
Forward to [email protected] for your default feed. For another feed, copy its private email address from Connections. Use these addresses for your own forwarded content, rather than subscribing an unrelated sender directly.
- 3
Listen when the episode is ready
The feed’s settings determine the voice and preparation mode. Cleaned narration queues the episode; agent preparation leaves it waiting until your connected agent returns a script or you cancel it.
Newsletters, email bodies and article links
Forward a newsletter or ordinary email with readable text or HTML. SimpleListen cleans the content for narration. A message whose body is a single public URL can be treated as an article link.
Supported HTML article attachments are extracted with Reader Mode. Images, scanned documents and PDFs are not supported. Complex newsletter layouts may need a quick cleanup by your agent or pasted text instead.
Keep work and personal listening apart
Each feed has a private forwarding address. Use one for newsletters and another for work reading, with different voices or language preferences if you like. A message is routed only to a feed owned by its sender’s verified account.
The common inbox selects your default feed. If you need an exact destination, use the private address for that feed. Forward from your account address; incoming messages from an unknown or mismatched sender are ignored.
What to check if an episode does not appear
First check the email you used to sign into SimpleListen, then confirm the destination address. Open your episode history: a feed set to agent preparation can be waiting for a script rather than generating audio immediately.
Allow your podcast player time to refresh the feed. Check the web player to distinguish generation from player refresh delays. Avoid forwarding highly sensitive messages: feeds and media links are unlisted, and podcast apps can cache audio.

Questions about email to podcast
Which address do I forward emails to?
Use [email protected] for your default feed. Each feed also has a private address under Connections. Always forward from the email you use for your SimpleListen account.
Can I subscribe a newsletter directly to my SimpleListen address?
The prototype accepts messages from your verified account email, so forward the newsletter yourself. Direct subscriptions usually arrive from the newsletter publisher and will be ignored.
Will forwarding the same email twice create two episodes?
Repeated delivery of the same provider webhook is deduplicated. Forwarding a message again as a new email is a new submission and can create another episode.
